Val - Pilates
After suffering from low back pain my whole life and eventually a college lacrosse injury that left it hard for me to run anymore, my friend introduced me to Pilates during one summer off. By the end of the summer, I was pain-free and could run faster than I ever had in my whole life. Ever since then I was hooked! After graduating from college and first working in healthcare consulting, I decided that I could make a career out of something I loved, and that's when I decided to get my Pilates certification. I went through the Equinox Pilates certification and graduated in July 2013.
The most meaningful Pilates exercise to me is the Spine Stretch Forward because when I first started Pilates it was the most difficult for me since I couldn't even sit up straight!
