PMA Certified Pilates Teacher

Gudbjorg was first introduced to the Pilates system and its benefits as a teenage dance student when she was suffering from serious back pain. She secretly hoped that Pilates would magically transform her into a Balanchine ballerina, but instead she found a system that helped her not only recover from her back injury, but also find a whole new understanding and respect for her body’s abilities.
Gudbjorg has been teaching both private and group pilates since 2006. She has worked in small private studios as well as at Equinox, where she was a senior instructor and a Teacher Trainer for the Equinox Pilates Institute. Gudbjorg is fascinated by everything that relates to biomechanics and continues to seek continuing education that complement her pilates practice. This includes studying, practicing and exploring myofascial release work and the fascial system at large since 2013.
Gudbjorg founded RTL in 2015 in order to share the power of intelligent movement and the profound effects that it can have on all aspect of our lives.
